The remake-song that was shot over 10-days is already become a rage as viewers can’t have enough of Katrina’s gyrating moves and sensual expressions. Choreographed by celeb choreographer Ganesh Acharya, the song features Kaif dressed in the traditional garb of a fisherwoman, gyrating to the high-tempo song. Sung by Shreya Ghoshal and composed by national awardee-duo Ajay and Atul, the song is the Hindi version of their own Marathi hit “Kombadi Palali”. A 30-second promo of the song was first launched by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, followed by a two minutes thirteen seconds-long video on YouTube. The latter has already garnered 3.8 million hits on YouTube within a week of its release.

The item track has been drawing compliments from all over. Recently Shobhaa De tweeted on Karan Johar’s twitter account, saying, “2012:The Year of Chikni Chameli and Katrina K.Just watched the hottest moves n Bollywood.Ooh la la looks like ringa-ringa-roses.Watch out VB”. Film critic Rajeev Masand too tweeted, “Watched the Chikni Chameli item song from Agneepath today. Boy, that Katrina can move, and how! At one point she even dangles off the roof!”

Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the remake that stars Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt, Rishi Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, will hit screens worldwide on January 26, 2012.

Bollywood superstar Madhuri Dixit is the brand ambassador of the cause. The actress can now be seen presenting Gemfields, the Emeralds for Elephants jewellery too on the occasion of Diwali. Madhuri recently did a photoshoot sporting ethereal Zambian Emerald jewellery.

It’s cricketer Gautam Gambhir, next, who is going to give up his ‘eligible bachelor’ status and tie the knot with a certain Natasha Jain, who hails from a business family.

The marriage, it is said, will take place in October or November. If sources are to be believed, this is an arranged marriage fixed by the respective families. Though touted to be a simple wedding with about 150 invitees only, Gautam, who is a big fan of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, is trying to get the singer to perform on his big day.

Also, with no intention of leaving any stone unturned, the couple’s trousseau, we hear, is being designed by Shantanu-Nikhil. We’re sure Gautam and Natasha are on a winning wicket. A hearty ‘Congratulations’ to the couple on this big news.

Anu Malik has returned to the music scene with the item number ‘Pal Pal Na Maane Tinku Jiya…’ which he has composed for Yamla Pagala Deewana. The song is already climbing high on countdown charts. “Sheila and Munni have a strong contender,” claims Anu Malik who composed this song in just three days.

Speaking more about the song he said, “I met Deols when I was doing television. Sunny wanted me to compose a folk song for Yamla Pagla Deewana. I composed few lines there and then itself. Both Sunny and Bobby loved it and gave me a standing ovation. The Deol brothers hugged me and told me to write the full song.”

Interestingly Mamta Sharma who sang ‘Munni Badnam Hui’ has sung ‘Pal Pal Na Maane Tinku Jiya…’ as well. “I stood by the Deols when they needed me the most. I am happy to be with people who have faith on me,” signs off Anu, clearly making a caustic remark on one-time good friend Farah Khan.

Let’s wait and watch if the impact of Anu Malik’s item number comes anywhere close to that of Munni or Sheila. After all, this one has Bobby Deol and Dharmendra dancing in it.

“I don’t like any of Ranbir’s films. I have been very critical of his work because of which his mother (Neetu Kapoor) often fights with me. He has worked too little,” said Rishi in the capital to reporters.

Ranbir, who made his debut with ‘Saawariya’, has given hits like ‘Bachna Aae Haseeno’, ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani’, ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Rajneeti’.

“I am lucky enough to have a critic as well as a fan in the same house. I agree I have not done anything special yet and I really hope to get where my father appreciates my work,” said Ranbir.

But what matters, certainly, is that both actors show a rare maturity and extend professional respect to each other when together. Like they did when shooting for Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan at Film City last week.
According to a source on the sets, Salman and Kat had a blast on camera and off. And joining them was Bollywood’s original prankster, Khiladi Akshay Kumar, the lead star of the film.

A close friend of the two revealed, “Salman and Katrina had always been discreet about their relationship. And all speculation about how awkward they would be when they bump into each other again, went for a toss on the sets of Tees Maar Khan. It wasn’t a shoot for a few hours, but for days, and the two showed that they remain friends.”

Salman was roped in by his close friend Farah Khan to shoot for the qawwali dance number Wallah Re Wallah in the film. She had told him that Katrina and Akshay were featuring in the song but Salman did not hesitate to shoot with Kat. He chatted with her on the sets and even bonded with Akshay. Both actors were thick sets and kept pulling Katrina’s leg all the time.”

Farah too said, “Salman and Katrina are professionals and I couldn’t see uncertainty or discomfort on their faces while working with each other. They bonded really well. Salman even cooked food one day and Katrina and Akshay ate it. We were like a family out there.” Does that give the impression that the two actors are back as a jodi? Does it really matter?

Amitabh had tweeted on Shah Rukh’s account: “ShahRukh… you were sounding fine… but you need to sound better… look after yourself.”

After that Shah Rukh called the 67-year-old to reply to the online message.

“Had a call from Shah Rukh acknowledging my concern for his health on twitter. Laughed and joked a bit about his condition, his body suit, and his twit page getting jammed by millions of tweets from journalist friends, thereby not being able to get to read some of the messages he is getting.

“Gauri, his wife, he said had made him aware of my tweet and was expressing concern that he was still not looking after himself, despite my little health care advice,” Amitabh posted on his blog.
