Pop princess Britney Spears and her ex husband Kevin Federline have apparently rekindled their ‘once red-hot sex life’.

According to Star magazine, Spears and Federline have been hitting up hotel suites, dressing rooms and even backstage on the singer’s ‘ Circus’ tour to do the deed. 

“It’s like they’re newlyweds all over again,” Fox News quoted a family insider as telling the mag. 

“Brit and Kevin can’t keep their hands off each other! The flings have made them both a lot happier,” the insider added. 

However, Federline’s girlfriend, ex-volleyball star Victoria Prince, is hardly thrilled. 

According to Star mag, Prince busted Britney and Kevin in the act.

People in Los Angeles may soon see Britney Spears featuring in election campaign ad.

As a candidate in the race for city district attorney is commissioning a poll to determine whether his opponent’s failed attempt to prosecute the pop diva on a traffic misdemeanour can win him votes. 

L.A. city council member Jack Weiss’ campaign is asking registered voters to weigh in on Deputy City Attorney Michael Amerian’s case against Spears for her 2007 hit-and-run case, as part of the poll. 

He is said to be trying to create an election issue out of the unsuccessful driving-without-a-license prosecution, ABCNews.com reports. 

“Amerian prosecuted singer Britney Spears for driving with an out-of-state driver’s license. Normally, people get a ticket for this but Amerian tried to give Spears a criminal record,” Fox News quoted pollsters as telling voters. 

According to reports, Weiss’ workers also remind voters that the judge dismissed the case, and American was lambasted for “using Spears to draw attention to his political campaign.” 

The hitting of a parked car by Spears, and her leaving the scene, was captured in paparazzi photos in August 2007. Even though the singer settled the hit-and-run case, Amerian filed criminal charges against her. 

He argued that the pop star lived in Los Angeles, but failed to get her California driver’s license updated.

The promo clip shows the ‘Hit Me Baby One more Time’ hitmaker in a circus ring with two adult lions positioned on petite podiums and two huge elephants standing unnaturally on two black legs.

After watching the video Animal Defenders International have demanded to Britney to explain the video and express concern over the use of the exotic animals.

ADI has written to the singer outlining the group’’s worries over her glamourising of animals in circuses.

“We have asked Britney to consider the suffering behind the scenes in the circus, and take a stand on this issue,” Contactmusic quoted ADI chief executive, Jan Creamer, as saying.

“Many people do not realize the true cost to animals, for our entertainment. Intelligent, feeling animals like elephants, who would normally live in close family groups, are not there just for our amusement,” Creamer added.

The ADI brought to light the fact that the exotic animals are put through agonizing training session, and kicked in the face and are inhumanly given electric shocks.

“ADI urges all artistes considering the use of animals to think twice, and give animals their dignity and to help us put an end to the suffering,” Creamer said.

Lynne has made some sensational revelations in her book due to release on September 16.

In her book ‘Through the Storm’, Lynne revealed that the 26-year-old singer began drinking at the age of 13, lost her virginity at 14, and then started taking drugs at 15.

The Toxic singer allegedly had her first drink after joining Disney’s squeaky-clean Mickey Mouse Club.

Lynne also claims that the 14-year-old Britney then had sex with an 18-year-old high school in her home town of Kentwood, Louisiana soon after she quit the TV show.

She said that she regrets handing over control of Britney’s career to managers and allowing her daughter to be promoted as a sex object in raunchy videos at such a young age.

As Britney pursued her career, Lynne let her 16-year-old daughter sleep with Justin Timberlake, despite claiming she was a virgin.

“Lynne thought Britney was in love and Justin was good for her,” the Sun quoted a source, as saying.

Britney was once caught with cocaine and cannabis on a private jet, when she was 16.

The book is set to deepen the rift between Britney and Lynne.

 It seems that Britney Spears is focusing more on her acting career than her singing. If sources are to be believed, the Toxic singer’s record bosses are having trouble getting her to record her new album.

Recently in a statement accompanied by a set of photos of Spears leaving a recording studio, Britney’s manager Larry Rudolph claimed he and Jive were “very excited about what she’s accomplished so far,” adding “No album release date has been confirmed yet.”

However it has been claimed that the 26-year-old singer set-up the snaps that accompanied Rudolph’s words after her bosses at JIVE feared Spears wasn’t taking her music comeback seriously.

“Britney wants to focus on her TV and movie career right now,” Contactmusic quoted a source.

“Jive and Larry are having trouble getting her to record, so they forced her hand with the statement and photo releases,” the source added.

Britney’s last album, Blackout, was released in October (07).

It was the first time Sean Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden James, 1 1/2 have been able to stay with mommy since she had a meltdown and was hospitalized in January.

The boos were dropped off Saturday and picked up at around 10 a.m. on Sunday.

A source explains, “Britney was very upset after the kids left.”

“She now does not know when she will get them next for an overnight. She complains it could be next week, or it could be three months.”

Meanwhile, baby daddy Kevin Federline was spotted partying in Miami over the weekend.

The Brit and K-fed will now face a custody trial in August after they were unable to hammer out an agreement last Thursday.

The latest court hearing in her lengthy custody case with ex-husband Kevin Federline allowed the singer to spend more time with her sons, Sean Preston, two, and 20-month-old Jayden James.

A court spokesperson would not comment on whether the reports of overnight visits were true, only saying: “There was a change in visitation status that was ordered by Commissioner Gordon this morning. I’m not at liberty to answer any questions about the nature of that change.”

When asked whether she was happy about the outcome of the hearing, Britney – accompanied by father and co-conservator of her estate Jamie – smiled and said: “Yes.”

The case will be reviewed in another hearing on July 15.

Britney lost custody of the children in October, and had all rights to see them withdrawn following her alleged breakdown in January.

Subsequent court appearances have seen her visitation time slowly increased.

Meanwhile, it has been claimed Britney left her sister Jamie Lynn’s bedside following the birth of her daughter early because she missed her sons so much.

The troubled star was with the 17-year-old actress when she delivered Maddie on Thursday (19.06.08) but left the following day.

The ‘Toxic’ singer was reportedly seen wandering round corridors in the hospital in McComb, Mississippi, looking distressed.

Britney was seen in tears at Los Angeles airport the following day.
