LOS ANGELES - Ashlee Simpson is so over.

The newlywed pop singer will go by Ashlee Wentz in private, and be professionally known as Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, according to a report posted Wednesday on People.com. The heretofore Simpson was married on May 17 to Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz.

“I think that that’s something that a woman should do when they’re marrying a man,” the pop star lil’ sis of Jessica Simpson told the magazine. “It’s a tradition that I think is a great tradition.”

Phone and e-mail messages left with Simpson-Wentz’s publicist regarding the name change were not immediately returned.

Simpson-Wentz, 23, and Wentz, 28, exchanged vows earlier this month at her parents home in Encino, Calif. Joe Simpson, her father, performed the non-denominational ceremony and sister Jessica was the maid of honor, the magazine earlier reported.

Simpson-Wentz and Wentz began dating in fall 2006 and announced their engagement April 9.

Ashlee Simpson, 23 and her rocker boyfriend, Pete Wentz, 28, are tying the knot, Usmagazine.com has confirmed.

A rep for Simpson tells Us, “Yes, they are happily engaged.” wentz-simpson-engaged-prev1.jpg

Earlier today, the singer told Us, “I’m really happy!”

One possible cause for the quickie engagement - a pregnancy, to which her rep had no comment and referred Us to friendsorenemies.com, where Simpson posted the following Wednesday:

“We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I, and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged.”

Simpson and Wentz began dating in late 2006. (See what a body language expert had to say about their relationship here.)

“They are ecstatic and can’t wait to be man and wife,” a source tells Us. “They will be getting married before the end of the year.”

Wentz told Us this month that he was open to marriage.

“When you find someone you think is your soulmate, it’s inevitable,” he said.

LOS ANGELES - Lindsay Lohan is about to see dead people. The 21-year-old actress will soon be working at a morgue as part of her punishment for misdemeanor drunken driving, her attorney, Blair Berk, told a judge Thursday.

lindsay-lohan.jpgShe has also spent two months in rehabilitation and has done some community service, Berk said at a hearing on her progress toward fulfilling the terms of her plea bargain.

Her two four-hour days at the morgue are part of a court-ordered program to show drivers the real-life consequences of drinking and driving. She must also spend two days working in a hospital emergency room.

Lohan was arrested twice last year on DUI charges and pleaded guilty in August to misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges. She has already served 84 minutes in jail as part of the plea deal.

Lohan was not required to appear at Thursday’s hearing.

Young divas make fashion child’s play!
Divya KapoorWell manicured hands, carefully put eye shadow, snappy hairstyles and smartly clad – meet the new age girls of 11 to 14 years, who have literally reduced fashion to a child’s play! /photo.cms?msid=2182212

These girls are equally (if not more) worried about the shades of their eye shadows, their hairdos and outfits as they are about meeting school deadlines and scoring good marks. Though they are smart enough to balance studies and style, looking good is gradually topping their priority list.

Feel good factor :
Pre teen and young teen girls today are waxing legs and shaping eyebrows right from the time they land up in class 6 and it doesn’t stop at just that. Pedicures, manicures and in some cases even facials are fast becoming an important part of their regime. Spending money on cosmetics and clothes is a necessity. “I put on lip gloss and mascara before going out because I like it when people compliment my dress or appearance,” says 13 year old Vaishali from Springdales, Delhi, “I feel good and more confident,” she adds.
Entry into the ‘hip’ crowd
Though the feel good factor largely occupies the mind of these young girls, another important factor is group acceptance from their peers. Whether it is school or outside, individuality does not seem to be in vogue anymore. It is blending into the ‘hip’ crowd which is preferred and good looks primarily form its basis. “It is the peer pressure from those who are around and are fashionable. After all, what kid doesn’t like to be the envy of the peers or at least get accepted by them?” says Dr. Aruna Broota, a clinical psychologist at the department of psychology, Delhi University.

Some argue that you rely on superficial factors like appearance to determine who you are especially when you think little of yourself and are unable to focus on your strengths. Dr. Samir Parikh, a psychiatrist feels, “Dressing up fashionably is a good thing as long as it does not become the only way you look at your self esteem.”
